People Experience Portfolio Manager

Manager Vienna, Virginia

Description

About the role
The People Experience Portfolio Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing order, rhythm, and visibility to how the Human Resources department plans, executes, and measures our people strategy. You will manage and integrate the HR strategic roadmap, annual calendar, and monthly HR operating reviews, connecting these to create a cohesive view of priorities, progress, and performance. You will serve as the bridge between strategy and execution through disciplined coordination, standardized practices, and stakeholder management.

You thrive at the intersection of structure and creativity: translating ideas into actionable plans, harmonizing cross-functional efforts, and building sustainable frameworks that enable progress. You will assess and recommend improvements to programs and operations to enhance HR’s effectiveness. As a strategic utility player with a passion for people, you will ensure our programs are not only launched but demonstrate measurable and lasting impact.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Experience Value Acceleration and working closely under the direction of the VP, People Experience Design, you will work in partnership with many teams including Human Resources, Internal Operations, and Finance and Accounting.

  • Lead macro-HR portfolio management, including how we set goals, groom and prioritize the backlog, and assign work across the three offices of People Experience.
  • Establish and manage Monthly Operating Reviews for the HR leadership team and their direct reports to monitor the health of the talent and the success of our programs.
  • Develop and present clear, data-informed presentations that bring clarity, context, and momentum to decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Own HR’s operating budget, ensuring fiscal discipline, forecasting spend, and delivering impact reporting for HR leadership.
  • Centralize HR vendor and contract management, building scalable processes for tracking renewals, renegotiations, and terminations. Partner with Procurement and Legal to ensure compliance and value realization.
  • Mentor colleagues on matters pertaining to vendor and expense management to avoid challenges and promptly resolve issues.
  • Execute HR budget audit activities, partnering with Finance and Accounting to ensure clean accounting transactions and ability to forecast effectively.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality with sensitive information, financial records, and personnel matters.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, communications, business administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 6+ years of experience in project or program management; PMP certification preferred.
